Elections must be fair

My brother has put out a great deal of cost to have election signs made. He was born and raised in Ona, WV (Barboursville area). Then he moved away to fight the nation's drug problem as a pilot and then as a director of U.S. Customs/Homeland Security. Now he recently retired...specifically in time to run for Sheriff of Cabell County. He does not have a faction, or any big committee of people supporting him. His name is not well known due to being in city or county government. However, he has stopped billions of drugs and many criminals from entering our country that has kept us all safe. He has been trained to recognize and stop terrorist activity. He has been undercover in South American countries to help STOP the drug lords who were feeding many of the U.S. peoples' drug habits. Also, my brother has had a great deal of federal training - has in fact been a trainer himself. He has helped protect Presidents. Also, he has been commended by several Presidents. I do not want to sound like I am bragging, but I am. I love my brother. He is a wonderful guy. He would stand up for me, and he would stand up for WHAT IS RIGHT!!!! He would do that for anyone, not just his little sister.

SOOOO, shouldn't elections be fair? Someone is stealing his election signs. He cannot afford to have the big fancy ones made, as HE DOES NOT HAVE A FACTION OR COMMITTEE funding his campaign. He has had signs made, but someone keeps removing them. AMERICA is founded upon a democracy. WE ALL have the freedom to know what candidates are running so we can make a fair judgment about them....to be able to vote for the person we feel will protect our interest. I KNOW it would be my brother. He is the most experienced, the most educated on crime issues, the most knowledgeable about how to prevent crime/drug activity. I know many have been in COUNTY government/service for years. I wonder if they can say they went deep into South America and spoke SPANISH just as those on the streets did, being able to pass as a Mexican/Spanish person? I do not mean to say that these other candidates do not know how to fight crime. I feel the other candidates do, and I know they are good people too. They all want to help stop crime. The job does not pay a great deal. I make quite a bit more than that position pays. My brother is not wanting the job because of the salary it pays either.

PLEASE, if anyone reads this blog.....please look up my brother's website greglawsonforsheriff.com and read what he is about. I would say, read his signs, but apparently someone is trying to take away our freedom by preventing us from knowing all of the candidates that are running. They are removing his signs. I am a social worker....and I MOST DEFINITELY believe that we all have the right to VOTE, it is a right that we should all exercise in order for our country to remain a democracy.

My big brother always sticks up for me, so I am trying to repay him by sticking up for him this time. He is a great guy, a fair person, not a good ole boy, or someone who would be racist or target populations.
